Martinton Church of Christ

"To seek and share the love of God with all people."

Sunday WorshipOur worship service begins at 9:30 a.m.  We sing a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary praise, join together each week around the Lord's table for communion, and examine God's word by means of expository sermons based upon a chosen book of the Bible.  We are currently going through the Gospel of John.  We believe God's word is inspired and all-sufficient as a guide for salvation and daily living.

Sunday School:  There are classes for all ages - which begin at approximately 10:45 a.m. - immediately following the morning worship service.

Evening Praise:  Sunday evening services begin at 6:30 p.m.  Communion will be provided for those who were not able to partake in the morning.  This service will include a variety of media for presenting God's word including, but not limited to, sermons, drama, skits, and musical programs.

Bible Study & Prayer:

On Monday mornings our minister leads a Bible study at Promises Cafe, 120 W. Walnut Street in Watseka, starting at 8:30 a.m. and lasting for about one hour.

On Wednesday evenings, we meet together for a time of prayer and Bible study, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  We are currently completing a verse-by-verse study of the book of Romans, picking up each week where we left off the previous week.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."                  2 Timothy 3: 16, 17 (NIV)

For the Youth:

The main session of our teenage youth program is held on Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for youths in 6 - 12th grade.

We also offer an after-school program every Wednesday for elementary-age children; this program includes tutoring with homework, refreshments, devotions, and "games."   Call the church office for information.
